The AIREI x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC “Birch” will definitely be one of the brand's bigger and rarer pieces of art this year. The colorway will cling from its predecessor in the “Black” version, which uses khadi gauze - a unique fabric traditionally made in eastern India that is produced without the use of any electricity. 

The entire upper has been mastered by Gaza kadi, which gives the pair an otherworldly look and sets them apart from other releases. The material has been dyed in a white shade, which gives them a clean look and versatility. 

To give the shoes a personalized touch, the AIREI studio has hand-stitched each heel with thread, which further emphasizes the uniqueness and, above all, the quality of the release itself. 

The delicate gauze is subjected to a burning process, visually leaving a “scorch” mark on each pair. This “scar” signifies overcoming challenges and finding beauty in resilience. It also makes each pair unique and so you won't come across another pair the same. 

But what makes the AIREI x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC “Birch” the most unique is their quantity, as this one doesn't exceed 50 pairs worldwide. They will be available only at Dover Street Market in New York City on May 3, 2024 with personal collection.
